Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-30
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of viztext.com(the "website") and the text2diagram Chrome extension(the "extension"), together the "Service". By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The Service
text2diagram lets you generate Mermaid diagrams from natural-language prompts, either in Quick mode (no sign-in required) or in Chat mode (Google sign-in required). Quick mode is offered free of charge with per-day rate limits. Chat mode may also be free during preview and may become subject to quotas or paid tiers in the future.
The Service is provided as-is on a best-effort basis. Features, quotas, model providers, and pricing may change without notice as the product evolves.
Accounts
Chat mode requires signing in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been used without your permission, email us at [email protected].
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit prompts or content that's illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have permission to share (passwords, personal data of others, confidential business information, etc.).
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, authentication, or other security or abuse-prevention measures — including by scripting, scraping, distributing requests across IPs or accounts, or creating multiple accounts.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or model weights of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the Service to build, train, or benchmark a competing AI diagram-generation product, or to redistribute the underlying LLM provider access.
- Overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, our infrastructure providers, or other users.
We may throttle, suspend, or terminate access for any account or IP that we reasonably believe is violating these rules, with or without prior notice. For clear cases of abuse we may act immediately.
Content and IP
Your prompts and diagrams. You retain ownership of the prompts you submit and the Mermaid code / diagrams the Service produces from them. You're free to use, modify, publish, and sell the generated diagrams, including for commercial use.
Our software and branding. The Service's user interface, source code, name, and logos are our intellectual property (or that of our licensors) and are not licensed to you by these Terms — beyond your right to use the Service as offered.
AI output caveat.LLM output is not guaranteed to be correct, unique, or free of third-party rights. You're responsible for reviewing generated diagrams before relying on them, especially in production, safety-critical, or contractual contexts.
Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties — LLM providers, authentication, hosting, analytics, and others — described in the privacy policy. Their outages, quota limits, terms, or policy changes may affect what the Service can do for you. We're not responsible for those third-party services beyond choosing which ones to integrate.
Privacy
How we handle your prompts, chat history, account data, analytics and third-party integrations is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these Terms.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or accuracy of AI-generated content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we or our contributors be liable for any damages whatsoever — direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive — or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. You use the Service at your own risk.
Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access — with or without notice — if you violate these Terms, put the Service or its users at risk, or if we discontinue the Service (in whole or in part). If your account is terminated, sections that by their nature should survive (IP, no-warranty, liability, governing law) will survive.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is domiciled, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you may have under mandatory local consumer- protection law.
